Back in Action

So its been months since I’ve posted anything new due to a very busy season for me. I changed day jobs, moved twice, and married my best friend — all in 2022! It’s been a wonderful ride and I’m so glad that I’ve gotten to enjoy it with my best friend, and now wife, Mrs. Kainoa Stark.
You will likely be seeing a lot of new changes to this webpage as well as some new channels and outlets for my work coming soon. My wife and I have a lot of cool things in the works and I’m so excited to share them. In the mean time, I hope a few photos from a recent just-for-fun shoot keep you held over.

I took these shots at Tubbs Hill along Lake Coeur d’Alene in North Idaho, just before the snow fell. My gorgeous wife is the model here. I shot these using my Canon EOS R with a Zeiss 50mm Classic lens. I love this combination and I am hoping to shoot a lot more with it (In fact, I’ve been lobbying my wife for a new Zeiss 85mm as well ha). In the cover photo especially, you can really see that “Zeiss look”, that I think comes from their excellent micro contrast and color rendering.

The beautiful Mrs. Stark

Love how the light and shadow falls on Kainoa’s face here

So stay tuned, we have lots in the works hopefully coming soon. If you are interested in doing a shoot now is a great time to book, get your family Christmas photo done early and before we’re booked up.
